first few pottery pieces

ah.. they are pretty bad.. a long way still to go! but, if anybody wants any of these primitive attempts i'll be very glad to give them away. can't guarantee that they are food safe though...

honey corn muffins :]

the batter was strangely liquid but they turned out ok in the end..

illustration friday: spooky

an attempt to paint the morning mist at village farm thailand.. a quite appropriate 'spooky' because the perfectly normal house ended up quite abandoned and crooked under my brush.

assorted wooden furniture at village farm

I love how they seem to have taken random pieces of wood (lying around on the ground, almost) and arbitrarily hammered them into all kinds of assorted shapes and styles.

They're not all perfectly balanced, and it's a bit of a challenge to figure out how to climb into some, but it's a joy just to take in this display of free spontaneous creation and construction (perhaps I have become too used to justifying and tweaking millimetres in CAD files).

It is definitely a joy to share a lovely breakfast on them, looking out over the vineyard :)

nature

back!

back from a holiday, and back to the blog, which i've completely neglected. it was a nice breather, i think it might be time to think more about things, and less about the futility of thinking. who knows? time to keep drawing because even if it isn't a passion, i enjoy it.
